Why You Should Be Marketing With Emojis

Yes – we should be making emojis an everyday thing. (Even the Wall Street Journal agrees!) Not only do they mark the continuing evolution of our language, but emojis are simply a good marketing tactic. Adobe’s survey of 1,000 U.S. emoji users (h/t AdWeek) proves why: 

1️⃣Emojis help convey emotions. 🤗In fact, 65% of those surveyed are “more comfortable” expressing their feelings through emojis versus over the phone. 

2️⃣Emojis can boost your open rates. 📧When an emoji is spotted in the subject line of an email, 58% reported they were more likely to open the message. 

3️⃣Emojis may up your bottom line. 📈An emoji in an advertising message may be the key to success: 44% of respondents reported they’re more likely to purchase a product when advertised with an emoji. 

Ready to dive into the world of colorful icons? First, make sure you know what you’re typing. Some emojis might have meanings you are blind to. When in doubt, just leave it out – or ask the intern in the office.
